Single Source Specialty Coffee

Coffee sourced from single harvest and region – often from a specific farm or even micro lot. These coffees stand out for their traceable origin and distinctive flavor profiles.

Sustainable packaging with a unique design

Packaging plays a key role in specialty coffee: It protects the aroma, preserves freshness, and communicates important details about origin, roast and processing. As awareness grows, sustainable packaging becomes increasingly important.

Coffee varieties

Refers to the genetic subspecies of the coffee plant, such as Geisha, Caturra or Pink Bourbon. The variety significantly influences the coffee’s flavor, sweetness, acidity, and yield.

SCA-Score (coffee evaluation)

Using a scoring system (typically up to 100 points) used by Q-Graders or Cuppers to assess coffee quality.

  • From 80 points a coffee is considered a specialty coffee
  • 85+ points : very high quality
  • 87+ points : excellent and rare
